Is Decaf Coffee Halal?
Are decaf coffee and similar drinks permissible under Islam?
Caffeine itself is not forbidden by Islam; however it does act like a drug and in larger doses could potentially cause intoxication. When used properly for tea and coffee consumption or similar drinks like honey however it shouldn’t pose any problems and remains permissible despite resulting in sugar highs.
Our coffee is sourced from 4C Certified farms which are dedicated to improving the social, economic, and environmental standards associated with coffee farming globally. Additionally, this certification makes the product kosher – meaning that it meets Jewish dietary law (Kashrus). You can learn more about this adherence by visiting C4C website.
