Chaga fungus has long been revered as an effective natural remedy, boasting essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Historically used to treat tuberculosis and poor circulation as well as weight loss and cancer; although its exact effectiveness as medicine cannot yet be measured. Drinking this tea certainly won’t hurt either!

Make Chaga Tea or Coffee At Home or on-the-Go! Making Chaga tea or coffee couldn’t be simpler: add 1 tablespoon of Chaga powder per 4 cups (1 liter) of water, bring to boil and reduce to simmer before leaving it to steep for up to 6 hours (simmering longer can produce stronger-tasting, more medicinal tea) (sweeten with honey or maple syrup to create delicious flavors), or serve alongside milk as an alternative breakfast beverage option!

Chaga can be harvested year round, although winter is the ideal season to find it in nature. When harvesting chaga from trees it should be healthy, mature specimens that are free from mold or insects and feel heavy when picked up; any that are too light should not be harvested as their health could be compromised and should continue growing instead. After harvesting it should be washed to remove dirt and debris before leaving it out to dry for approximately one month in dark cool spots before grinding to desired sizes; coarsely for use in French presses etc; finely ground to add directly to soups stews or smoothies etc
