How to Make a Coffee Enema
Coffee enemas are an alternative health practice that involve the administration of organic coffee directly into the colon via the rectum. Proponents claim this practice detoxifies and cleanses the body by stimulating bile production, increasing natural glutathione levels and decreasing stored liver toxins. They may also assist digestion while regularizing bowel movements – yet this unique wellness practice may not be for everyone; caution must be exercised if you have sensitive bowels.
When making a coffee enema, it’s essential that only high-grade ingredients are used. Many advocates advise opting for organic coffee beans as conventionally grown ones contain chemicals which have adverse impacts both on human health and the environment. Organically-grown beans contain higher levels of antioxidants and other beneficial substances than conventionally-grown ones.
As part of an effective enema solution, it is recommended to add two to three tablespoons of finely ground organic coffee per cup of filtered or purified water, in addition to fresh non-roasted coffee. Furthermore, using clean buckets and tubes along with an appropriate nozzle are crucial.
After thoroughly cleaning the enema bucket, tube, and insertion tip with warm soapy water, fill your container with the solution of choice and mix thoroughly using a spoon to ensure there are no lumps. Ideally, room temperature solutions should be used.
Start slow when first experiencing a coffee enema; one teaspoon should do. This will allow you to assess your tolerance and ensure the technique suits you, before gradually increasing dose over several sessions.
Before giving yourself a coffee enema, it’s recommended that you lie in an ergonomic position and prepare your enema kit accordingly – this includes taking measures such as taking off the nozzle cap and making sure that your hose is free from debris as well as closing off your enema nozzle. Light massage of your stomach may help alleviate cramping that might arise during this procedure.
Once your enema is prepared, lie back comfortably in a relaxed position and insert the nozzle of the hose into your anus. As you slowly allow the solution to enter your colon over 10 minutes, go to the toilet and release it before repeating this step again with fresh warm water (rather than hot) as this helps reduce discomfort. To ease cramping or reduce pain a light tummy massage or deep breathing may be beneficial. It is also advised to drink lots of fluids afterwards in order to flush any remaining toxins out of your colon.
