Can I Drink Organic Coffee?
Your food, products, and lifestyle choices matter immensely – and when it comes to something as crucial as coffee consumption in the morning, going organic can have a tremendous positive effect on both health and wellbeing.
Organic coffee beans differ from their conventionally produced counterparts by being grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers or GMOs – leading to less pollution, healthier soil and water sources, and potentially offering an enhanced taste experience in your morning cup!

What Is Organic Coffee? The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Organic Program oversees the certification process for organic coffee beans. To receive certification, coffee must be grown using sustainable farming practices that have been free from synthetic chemicals and pesticides for three years prior to sale as organic. Organic farmers must nurture the environment by minimising soil erosion, increasing biodiversity through reforestation initiatives and using ecological pest management systems against pests.
As a result of these sustainable and environmental practices, certified organic coffee farms produce less pollution while benefitting their local community. Organic farms usually utilize shade-grown practices which promote soil and plant nutrition as well as using natural fertilizers like coffee pulp, chicken manure, compost or the like as sources for fertilization; all while supporting wildlife preservation.
Organic coffee provides many other advantages beyond its environmental impacts, including improved working conditions for those harvesting it. Conventional farming exposes workers to harmful chemical pesticides and fertilisers daily; organic certification ensures beans are produced using healthy and eco-friendly practices and shows our appreciation for their hard work.
So while one sip of your morning joe may seem insignificant in regards to global issues, starting small can have a huge effect. That is why we recommend making organic coffee part of your daily ritual and make the commitment daily!
