Which Coffee is Healthy to Drink?
Health experts have long debated whether coffee actually provides any health benefits; however, new research indicates otherwise.
Coffee contains polyphenols, natural chemicals that act as antioxidants to combat oxidative stress and neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s. Furthermore, chlorogenic acid has been linked to heart disease prevention.
Studies indicate that those who consume four to five 8-ounce cups of coffee daily have lower risks of diabetes, liver cancer and Parkinson’s disease than those who don’t consume coffee at all. One research paper published by Circulation revealed that people drinking over three cups per day were 17% less likely to die prematurely from heart-related causes and 19% less likely from chronic diseases like stroke or cancer.
Coffee isn’t created equal; adding sugar, milk, cream or flavored syrups can transform it into an irresistibly indulgent experience. For maximum effectiveness, opt for black coffee brewed using high-altitude beans with light roast and fine grind that have been filtered through clean filters with hot but not boiling water, filtering through clean filters without overheating and filtering hot but not boiling water before being filtered through clean filters with hot but not boiling water filtration systems filtered with clean filters; and limit yourself to 400 milligrams daily caffeine according to FDA recommendations.
