Is Irish Coffee Halal?
As a coffee shop owner, providing comfortable facilities and an inviting environment for consumers is of vital importance to ensure they return and have enjoyable experiences in your establishments. Doing this also returns their money and increases profits!
However, comfort and atmosphere alone aren’t enough to ensure a halal experience for Muslim consumers. Many key ingredients must also be declared as halal in order to run a truly halal coffee shop.
One such ingredient is Baileys cream, which contains alcohol derived from sources like barley, wheat and corn – this explains why Tim Hortons sells drinks that contain Baileys that do not conform to Islamic halal law.
