The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is most famous for their Original Ice Blended drinks, featuring multiple coffee and tea flavors. In addition, they sell whole coffee beans and loose-leaf teas as well as baked goods. Established by Herbert Hyman in Southern California in 1963, in the 1990s they began opening stores overseas, including in Singapore and Malaysia. Jollibee acquired them in 2019; today there are 1,164 locations worldwide – some are even halal! – including its stores within Malaysian and Singaporean jurisdictions while other locations follow Jewish dietary laws when available.
