How to Make Psychedelic Mushroom Tea
As the hot water simmers and steeps, many benefits from mushrooms seep into it in the form of nutritional, medicinal and psychoactive properties (in the case of psilocybin mushroom tea). Along with providing delicious flavors and health benefits that accompany quality tea consumption methods, this type of consumption method also enables more precise microdosing experiences.
As tea allows more precise measurement of ingredients like mushrooms and other components, creating different blends depending on your mood or desired effects is easy – for instance you could try Reishi and Ashwagandha blends before bedtime to relax and unwind, or Lion’s Mane and Cordyceps mixes for productive work mornings.
To make tea, start by boiling some water in either your kettle or pot on the stove. If your mushrooms come in powder form, grinding them as finely as possible before adding them will increase surface area and aid with absorption. When your water has reached boiling point, remove from heat and combine your mushrooms along with any herbs or spices you desire (please be mindful that different species have differing potencies).
Take your time when making tea – taking this approach sets the intention for an experience that is individual to each person who drinks it!
If you are using psilocybin mushroom tea, its effects should begin to show within 20-40 minutes and typically last 6-8 hours before gradually decreasing in intensity as time progresses. Individual results will depend on individual physiology and experience. Most people prefer brewing their tea rather than taking capsules to maximize the effects and experience the power of healing psychedelic mushroom tea more fully.
