Do not boil the mushrooms as heat destroys psilocin. Simply pour hot water over them and let them steep for several hours or overnight.
Use citric acid in water to aid extraction of mushrooms, thus preventing their oxidization and thus furthering extraction.
1. Boil Water
Psilocybin, found in certain mushrooms, can alter one’s perception of reality and produce an altered state of consciousness which induces pleasurable feelings as well as changes to thought patterns and sensory experiences. Before indulging, however, it is crucial to understand its effects properly as misuse can result in unpleasant side effects and dependence.
Mushroom tea is a drink created by steeping dried mushrooms in hot water for several minutes until all their components have been released into the liquid form. This method can also be used to ingest magic mushrooms containing psychoactive substances known as Psilocybin that can alter mood, perception of time and space, emotional responses as well as creativity and problem-solving capabilities.
When making mushroom tea, it’s essential that the water be heated prior to adding mushrooms. This ensures that all psilocybin and active compounds will be extracted properly from them and will prevent contamination and infections from happening. Also use clean and sanitary utensils when handling mushrooms to minimize risk.
Temperature of the boiling water when adding mushrooms should be set at 160degF to maximize extraction. A pot large enough to hold all ingredients securely will also prevent contamination with bacteria or microorganisms from ruining their quality.
Once the water has been heated to boiling point, it’s essential to add a small amount of citric acid – this will allow more psilocin from mushrooms to be extracted while also preventing oxidation – while some lemon juice will enhance its flavor and add depth of taste to your mushroom tea.
If using fresh mushrooms, cutting or grinding them into smaller pieces or powder will ensure maximum surface area contact with hot water, ensuring optimal extraction and delivery.
2. Soak Mushrooms
No matter if they’re fresh or dried, mushrooms require being soaked for some time to activate their magical or psychedelic properties. Once this process begins, mushrooms begin changing color and texture which indicates when they’re ready to use.
As mushrooms soak, it is crucial not to overcook them as this could cause their active ingredients to disintegrate and become ineffective. An ideal temperature should fall just above boiling but without reaching levels which cause shrooms to disintegrate.
Soaking mushrooms in 190 proof alcohol will extract their most active components while also ensuring no contamination from other materials – this technique is known as double extraction tek.
Once your tincture is ready, you can add it to your tea. Effects usually appear between 40 minutes and 6 hours later depending on how much tea is consumed, your physiological status, and other factors.
Psilocybin mushrooms are an irresistibly appealing type of fungus with mind-altering compounds, used by those looking to experience altered states of consciousness and pleasurable feelings. Psilocybin mushroom tea is made by steeping dried psilocybin mushrooms in hot water before steeping in other herbs or spices for flavor enhancement and increased benefits. Care must be taken when selecting and eating psilocybin mushrooms so as not to consume poisonous ones that could have dangerous side effects.
3. Strain
As for straining it through cloth or mesh strainers, but you could also simply pour it straight into a cup and drink directly. Your finished tea should have a blueish tint with strong mushroom flavors; to alter its taste further you could also try adding lemon or other citrus juice for additional sweetness.
Step Three: Finally, Enjoy! This is an effective way to add extra magic to your diet, with mushrooms providing some much-needed nutritional assistance. Use them in smoothies or add them directly into your morning coffee brew!
Do not overcook the mushrooms! Overheating destroys psilocybin.
Grind or mash the mushrooms (using a food processor is ideal) before steeping into tea; leaving whole mushrooms would discolor your tea brown and cause its strength to decline significantly. You could try soaking the mushrooms in water first before straining out for tea–though its strength won’t be quite as intense; over cooking will cause some of their psilocybin to breakdown, decreasing your high from it.
4. Add Other Ingredients
Most people attempt to brew shroom tea using an elaborate process with boiling, simmering, straining and extra ingredients that only end up diluting and diluting psilocin by oxidizing and diluting its potency. Instead, pour hot water over fresh mushrooms before letting them steep for approximately ten minutes in hot water before straining it for optimal effects and flavoring it with ginger, chai tea bags (containing caffeine), chocolate mint leaves or lemon slices with citric acid for flavor enhancement or extra effects if desired – just remember this process works best when made with fresh mushrooms ( to maximize delivery and minimize nausea), otherwise your results should be perfect!
