Ganoderma Tea
Ganoderma Tea is an herbal beverage composed of organic green tea leaves combined with organic reishi mushroom extract for a nutritious and delectable beverage. ORGANO Green Tea + Reishi offers all the health benefits of green tea as well as red reishi (ganoderma lucidum mushroom), in one delicious drink! This combination helps your body produce natural energy efficiently while improving your overall wellbeing.
Ganoderma mushroom is an adaptogen, meaning that it helps your body function as it was intended to. Ganoderma can increase energy, calm you down, reduce inflammation and help fight cancer. Though Ganoderma can provide numerous health benefits, every individual’s needs differ considerably so before beginning any supplement regimen it is always wise to consult their healthcare provider first.
Ganoderma has long been used in traditional Asian culture as a medicinal herb, often called Lingzhi in China or Reishi in Japan. Ganoderma has often been described as possessing spiritual potency or being “King of Herbs.”
Reishi mushrooms are widely recognized for their powerful antioxidant and cognitive-enhancing effects, including improving mental clarity and memory recall. Furthermore, studies have demonstrated their efficiency at increasing cellular immunity – great news for people living with chronic diseases!
Ganodermin, an extract from Ganoderma lucidum, was shown to significantly inhibit mycelial growth of Botrytis cinereal, Fusarium oxysporum, and Physalospora piricola at 15.2 microM, 12.4 microM, 17.1 microM respectively [109]. As polysaccharides are water soluble extracting them using hot water is usually sufficient. However, the quality of extracted polysaccharides will depend on factors like temperature, time of extraction as well as substrate/solution ratio [110].
Karsten initially established Ganoderma as a genus in 1881 with only one species being included at that time. Since then, however, over 120 species have been discovered within it and some more promoted into it as well as numerous medicinal/nutritional species like G. lucidum, G. applanatum, G. tsugae and G. sinense as well as G. capense have since been added.
Although many reishi products and GYO kits are advertised as containing “red” strain of G. lucidum, studies have revealed otherwise; for instance, DNA analysis demonstrated that 93% of products sold as “Ganoderma lucidum” actually contained G. sichuanense instead.
