In this study, we investigated the antioxidant activity of hot water infusions of G. lucidum from both wild and cultivated species using Folin-Ciocalteu, aluminium chloride, vanillin-HCl and DPPH assay methods. Total phenolics, flavonoids and condensed tannin levels as well as antioxidant activity were measured using Folin-Ciocalteu, aluminium chloride, vanillin-HCl and DPPH assay techniques; for optimal treatment IC50 values were selected with its antimicrobial effect evaluated through non-growth halo, non-growth agar well diffusion and disc diffusion methods against E. coli, S. aureus and Clostridium perfringens.
